The J.C. and Jessie Seacrest Family Foundation had its most successful year to date in 2021. With your help, we were able to multiply our fundraising by a factor of five year-over-year, raising over $50,000. In addition, more family members than ever leveraged Foundation resources in support of their favorite causes. These two milestones mark major successes that we plan to build on in 2022.
This year we launched new initiatives and welcomed new board members. Our postcard campaign — in which we asked family members to select a nonprofit to receive a $100 gift from the Foundation — brought in new participants we had not heard from before. In addition, we welcomed Nancy Baker and Mike Kelly onto the Board of Advisors in 2021, increasing participation from more branches of the family. Their presence has made the Foundation a more robust and representative organization.
Our goal to increase family participation is paying off. Twenty-seven individual family members gave this year, either through a matching gift, or by submitting a postcard. This participation number is up from 24 family members last year and 19 in 2019. Together, we raised tens of thousands of dollars in support of 30 different non-profits across the country. This total is up from 28 organizations last year and 22 in 2019. More detailed information can be found on the following pages.
Since the beginning of the Covid pandemic, getting together in person has been a difficult challenge. However, for a family foundation like us, it is important to get together every once in a while to reconnect, have some fun, and raise some money for a good cause! So if you’re reading this, you are invited to Lincoln, Nebraska on Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16, 2022 for a special family event. Mark your calendar — you and your whole gang are invited to join us in Nebraska next summer.
Thank you for your continued generosity.

Last year, the J.C. and Jessie Seacrest Family Foundation asked the family to step up their annual giving to meet the unprecedented challenges of 2020. We are happy to report that more family members than EVER responded. Twenty-four individual family members from across the country leveraged Foundation resources to amplify their giving. Thank you to everyone who sent in donation information.
Clearly, more remains to be done. Our goal is to have even more family members participate in the Matching Gift Program this year, and get extra resources to nonprofits in your communities. But we need your help to do it. Please send us information about your donations and/or volunteer hours before October 31.
Getting matching dollars for your favorite cause is easy: any donation you’ve made this year to a 501(c)(3) charitable organization is eligible for a dollar for dollar match up to $500. The foundation will even match volunteer hours, at a rate of $15 per hour. Any lineal descendants of J.C. and Jessie Seacrest and their spouse, widow, widower, issue, adopted child or stepchild may participate.
Just email your donation receipt or volunteer hours to our foundation trust officer Jaime Hemmerling at jhemmerling@firstnebtrust.com, or, this form to:

We are happy to report that 16 individual members leveraged J.C. and Jessie Seacrest Family Foundation resources, providing extra support to some of their favorite causes at this critical time. Thank you to everyone who sent in donation information.
But we are not done yet. If you missed your chance during spring, there’s still time to qualify for the fall Matching Gift deadline and double your charitable giving this year. All you have to do is fill out the attached form, or email us information about your donations and/or volunteer hours before October 31.
